PURPOSE 
We want to ensure our members are equiped with the tools and resources to provide the best experience in rugby. s a role to play is creating a positive rugby experience


RUGBY ENVIRONMENTS

Providing a positive environment for everyone to enjoy rugby is at the heart of APPLAUD. APPLAUD is a New Zealand Rugby initiative to encourage all those connected to rugby to be Good Sports at schools and clubs, while also seeking to stamp out anti-social side-line behaviour.

Supporters have a big role to play in encouraging players, referees, coaches and volunteers to have good experiences whether they win, lose or draw.

HANDLING COMPLAINTS

Rugby members (clubs, schools and our affiliate bodies) often need to deal with complaints that affect players, coaches and managers, parents and Committee or Club members.  If the entity does not act fairly and appropriately, the affected people will feel aggrieved, and may make a formal complaint or take the issue to the media or social media. Taking a little extra time to get the process and the decision right can save time and stress in the long run.​​​​​​​

CODE OF CONDUCT

This Golden O Code of Conduct can be used by our clubs and schools if they don't have a code of their own already in place, or could you this as a starting point to develop their own. Outlined are minimum expectations and standards of behaviours that all involved in the game need to abide by.
