OTAGO TEAM NAMED TO PLAY TASMAN IN ROUND 2

Otago Head Coach Tom Donnelly has named his side to play against Tasman Mako in the second round of the Bunnings Warehouse NPC this Saturday 13 August, 2:05pm at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin. This home game is double header fixture, with the Otago Spirit playing Tasman beforehand at 11:35am. Tickets are available from www.orfu.co.nz

Otago will be facing their ‘storm week’ next week with the next game being on Wednesday night 17th August at 7:05pm against Hawke’s Bay at Forsyth Barr Stadium. This will be followed by an away game against Southland on Sunday 21st August at 2:05pm at Rugby Park in Invercargill. Head Coach Tom Donnelly said: “We are going to have to utilise our full squad over the next week, but we have confidence in all players should they be given the opportunity to take the field. We will deal with one game at a time.”

Rupeni Tamani will be making his Otago Debut this weekend.

James Lentjes will lead as Captain for this match.

Just a reminder that the ORFU are implementing the ticketing initiative again this year called ‘For the Love of Club’ that aims to return money directly to Clubs and Referees within the Otago province through allocating funds from every ticket sold online to an Otago NPC/FPC home game. People who purchase online either an Otago Rugby Season Membership or a Match Day ticket will be able to nominate which of Otago’s 33 Clubs or Otago Rugby Referees Association (ORRA) they wish to support. For more information, or to buy tickets please check out the ORFU website www.orfu.co.nz or the Otago Rugby Facebook page.

In 2022, the ORFU will also be releasing Otago Rugby Player Trading Cards. These cards are only available at Otago home games this season.
