The Otago Rugby Football Union (ORFU) is the governing body responsible for supporting the development and coordination of rugby in Otago.  The Union has a proud history of delivering rugby at all levels across the province and is currently seeking applications for the following roles:

 

Events & Marketing Manager

The Otago Rugby Football Union (ORFU) is seeking an experienced events and marketing professional to join their Dunedin based team.  This full time role will be responsible for managing the ORFU’s marketing strategy, planning and delivering high quality events and functions and taking a lead role in the delivery of Mitre 10 Cup Match Days (excluding rugby operational delivery).  This role will also manage the ORFU’s digital platform, assist the Commercial Manager with commercial obligations and relationship management along with developing relationships and coordinating the publication of press releases with local and national media.

 

This role requires applicants to possess:

  • An Event Management / Marketing qualification or similar
  • Creative and design experience
  • Event management experience
  • Sound understanding of events and marketing
  • Experience in working with the media
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • A positive attitude and an ability to work unsupervised 

 

Office & Ticketing Administrator

The ORFU is seeking a suitably experienced and qualified person to manage the ORFU's ticketing and office administration.  This full time role, based in Dunedin, will be responsible for providing high quality administration and reception services for the Union.  Along with these functions this role will also oversee all ticketing and accreditation for Otago's Mitre 10 Cup home games and New Zealand Rugby test matches, as well as all required outfitting for representative teams and staff.    

 

This role requires applicants to possess:

  • Experience in administration and reception 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • A sound working knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Experience in website design or maintenance
  • A positive attitude and an ability to work unsupervised
